“Unfortunately, we often hear of wasteful spending on government programs that don’t work,” Neuhaus said. “The Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) is a highly successful initiative that is utilized by our veterans. Our veterans need and benefit from this critical program. At a time when our nation’s military continues to face enormous challenges throughout the world, our veterans and servicemen and servicewomen, need to know that their government has their backs. I urge the VA to restore this funding immediately.”
Neuhaus serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves and is currently assigned to a Naval Special Warfare Group.
If no action is taken, funding will run out and the SSVF initiative will be terminated after Sept. 30.
